Suffolk County cops are seeking help from the public in locating a missing 12-year-old Farmingville boy.
Mertcan Cakmak left his Waverly Avenue home on a bicycle sometime overnight, Sunday into Monday, and was possibly trying to go to the Bronx, police said. A family member reported the child missing about 5:45 a.m.
Sixth Squad detectives are heading up the search.
Cakmak stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen dressed in ripped jeans and a dark-color hooded sweatshirt. The boy has braces and a scar
above his eye.
