Each year, the Canine Companions Colonel E. David Woycik, Jr., Esq., USA (Ret.) and Lance Corporal Matias Ferreira, USMC (Ret.) Outstanding Service Awards are presented to well-deserving veterans and other community members who have gone above and beyond to help our heroes — those who have sacrificed so much in order for us to continue to enjoy our rights and freedoms.
All proceeds support Canine Companions and our Veterans Initiative program, serving veterans, children and adults with disabilities since 1975 by providing service dogs free of charge.

You won’t want to miss this 13th annual Salute Independence, Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Captain Bill’s Restaurant in Bay Shore, NY. Located at 122 Ocean Ave., Captain Bill’s is the premier waterfront restaurant on the South Shore of Long Island.
