Suffolk’s ‘miracle’ cop delivers first pitch at Mets game at Citi Field

A Suffolk County cop who nearly lost his life in a high-speed crash earlier this year threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Citi Field before the Mets' Saturday game at home.

Suffolk County Police Officer Brendon Gallagher, who survived a life-threatening crash on the Long Island Expressway in January, threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Citi Field on Saturday before the Mets–Mariners game.
