This is the second bi-annual pack-out the group runs at The Emporium in Patchogue Village.
The January pack-out drew 1,300 people to the Railroad Avenue concert hall and they packed 74,000 pounds of supplies for the troops.
Figures for Sunday’s pack-out were not immediately available, though Frank Bania of Boots on the Ground NY said the winter events have been larger than the summer ones.
At each event, attendees are asked to bring items for the care packages. There’s also a free buffet and $5 donations collected at the door cover the cost of shipping the care packages.
