Patchogue’s Italian Festival of St. Liberata is a go, low chance of rain

|

Today’s overcast will not stop Patchogue’s Italian Festival of St. Liberata from happening.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of rain in the afternoon, but not enough to close down the Italian feast, according to the organizers, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

“Any rain should pass by the time our festival begins at noon,” said David Kennedy, the chamber’s executive director. “While it won’t be the best beach day, it will be a great day to enjoy and celebrate Patchogue’s Italian Heritage.”

The event begins at noon with a parade on Main Street and runs to 6 p.m.

The street will be filled all day with food vendors, the restaurants will be offering specials, there’s live music and other family friendly entertainment along the street.
