Patchogue baker Mandy Melee is about to make her national television debut on Saturday night, according to an announcement issued this week by The Discovery Channel.
Mandy Melee and her husband, Brian Daniels, a science teacher, will be appearing on Discovery Family’s new baking competition series called “Bake it like Buddy.”
The show stars “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro.
In Saturday’s episode called “Galaxy Cakes,” the Melees do battle against another couple from Maine as they create a fantastic galaxy-style cake in just four hours.
Valastro and his sister, Grace, and head sculptor Ralph then judge both creations and choose a winner.
The show airs on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 9:30 p.m.
