The big Arts on Terry festival returns to Patchogue on June 23

|

Some 200 artists from across Long Island and beyond will be descending onto Terry Street in Patchogue once again on Sunday, June 23, to bring a little bit of Miami Basel to Patchogue Village.

It’s the fourth annual Arts on Terry Festival, and it will have everything: street performers, chalk artists, wood, iron and glass workers — and a selection of sculptures and paintings to delight even the most casual of art fans.

Under the main tent, festival-goers will find 15 different pop-up galleries, curated by invited Cultural Partners, feature organizations and collectives from across Long Island each presenting works representing their members and community, according to a press announcement.

Arts on Terry is a village-wide collaboration that involves Patchogue Village, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and it’s Greater Patchogue Chamber Foundation, as well as the Business Improvement District and ArtSpace Lofts.

The festival will incorporate the piece of Terry Street where Artspace Lofts stands, just east of South Ocean Avenue, as well as the perpendicular Taylor Lane and a portion of the village parking lot to the immediate north. Expect road closures in those areas.

The organizers say Arts on Terry is the only festival of its kind on Long Island. It runs from noon to 6 p.m. Below is a full schedule of events and a list of participants, provided by the Patchogue Arts Council.
