Patchogue clothiers gearing up for Fathom Festival

This is one summertime festival you won’t want to bring the kiddies to.

Unless, of course, your kiddies are now over 21. (Then maybe you shouldn’t go.)

It’s Fathom Clothing of Patchogue’s second annual Fathom Festival at the Long Island Glass warehouse in Holtsville.

This event will feature glass blowing demonstrations (think water pipes) and is BYOB.

It runs from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Fathom Clothing is an alternative clothing company whose slogan is “Be Your Own Revolution,” and is the brainchild of James Skidmore, who came up with the concept, and Dexter Dible, who designs the clothing.

“This year’s Fathom Festival is going to be a much larger and more eclectic than last year,” Dible said. “We are drawing in a new demographic by bringing in a broad range of music.”

That range includes the local band Lokedo, which offers a mixture of hip hop and spoken word with a party band vibe, followed by the rapper Keenie Dubb and the Ambition Gang, a hip hop artist based in the Bronx.

The experimental, poetic conscious rapper Allone will be gracing the stage at 10 p.m., followed by Famom’s headliner, Disband, at 11 p.m.

Disband is a six-piece funk/experimental band led by female vocalist Alexandra Mendes.

There’s also a 6-8 p.m. art gallery exhibit featuring the work of Tiffany Gardella and Francesca Gagliardi, among other attractions.  Find more details on our event calendar.

Fathom Festival is $15 at the door. This is a 21+ only event.
