Rev. Wolter: The Latin American Arts Festival continues Saturday in Patchogue

|

Latin-Arts2

Last Saturday, on June 18, Projecting Arts held a Latin American Arts Festival at the Congregational Church of Patchogue at 95 East Main Street.

The theme was the visual arts, including film and paintings.

This coming Saturday, June 25, at 7 pm, the festival will continue, and conclude with an emphasis on the performing arts, featuring two dance troops (traditional Ecuadorian and traditional Latin American), as well as poetry and music.

The marvelous paintings by artists from many countries will still be on exhibit.

There were, unfortunately, very few non-Hispanic persons in attendance for this first incredible event. We’re hoping this coming Saturday will rectify that situation, as we seek to bring more and more people together.

Let us embrace and celebrate the incredible artistic talent and creations of the Latino members of our Greater Patchogue community.

There is a $10 suggested donation, but no one will be turned away for lack of money.

Contact me at (631) 475-1235 for additional details.
