I am writing on behalf of Peter Lowery, who has special needs due to a syndrome called Fragile X.
Peter is currently the hole marshal on the 5th hole of The Barclay’s PGA tournament at Bethpage Black.
With him is Fred McKeon, his job and life coach. They are both Patchogue residents.
Peter is a 2010 graduate of Patchogue-Medford High School and works at Best Market and Baron Honda 112.
He’s also a Special Olympics golfer and swimmer.
Together, Peter and Fred head a team called The Polar Sharks that participates in the Town of Brookhaven Polar Plunge each November.
Every year, businesses around town are eager to support them in their fundraising efforts for The Polar Sharks and they’re able to gather a lot of local support.
Peter is a great guy with a big smile. If you see Peter and Fred around town just say hi and you might even get some great voices imitating some of his favorite celebrities!
