Six weeks after it was announced Norm Macdonald would be launching his memoir in Patchogue, we now know the special guest who will be interviewing him on stage at Patchogue Theatre.

It’s Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog!

OK, so Macdonald won’t be interviewed by the puppet that first appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, but he will be interviewed by the comedian, writer and actor behind Triumph: Robert Smigel.

That’s according to Bernie Fabig, a spokesperson for the theater.

Aside from Triumph, Smigel is known for his TV Funhouse cartoon shorts on Saturday Night Live, where he’s worked as a writer. He also wrote “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” that starred Adam Sandler in 2008, among other movies.

The show is Tuesday, Sept. 20. Click here for tickets.
