Patchogue restaurants and hundreds of community members came together for a night of great eats for a great cause.

The Taste of Patchogue for Ukraine fundraiser event ran from 5-9 p.m. where attendees walked around the Blue Point Brewery, enjoyed live music and snacked on unlimited bites from local well-known establishments.

The list of participating restaurants included The Tap Room, Whiskey Neat, That Meetball Place, Del Fuego, Bobbique, James Joyce, Tiesto’s, Aroogas, Burgerology and more.

Many of the restaurants handed out samples of their signature dishes, as well as international flavors like traditional Ukrainian recipes.

James Bonanno, chair of Patchogue’s Restaurant Committee, said they raised around $11,000 in total and all funds will go directly to World Central Kitchen, an organization that provides meals in response to climate, humanitarian and community crises, such as the current invasion by Russia that has displaced millions of Ukrainians.

“It was amazing to see the community come together in such a short time for a great cause,” Bonanno said.
