There aren’t too many occasions where practicing yoga and chugging beer is allowed.
Cocomotion‘s Beer & Yoga fest at Blue Point Brewery last Saturday was one of them.
At the event, Cocomotion founder Coco Teodoro led several classes across the day while Blue Point Brewery passed along the brews.
“It is not required that we drink during these events if alcohol is not your thing that’s perfectly fine,” said Cocomotion’s Christianne Gentry. “These events are about celebrating our community, our universal oneness, and effortless togetherness.”
And the day was a big success, Teodoro told us.
“We’re having a big impact on the community,” he said. “We brought people there; there were separate groups fundraising (for American VetDogs.) It was a community event.”
There was also music by DJ Sameer, Free Grass Union, Soundswell, and food by Catch Oyster Bar and Brockenzo Pizza.
Cocomotion has locations in Patchogue at 78 Terry Street and in Miller Place, as well as a soon-to-be-open spot in East Setauket.
