People lined the streets of downtown Patchogue Sunday morning to greet the participants in Suffolk County’s first-ever marathon.
Not long after the runners arrived in the village — where they found musical performances, cheering spectators and plenty of refreshments being offered to them — they made their way back toward Heckscher State Park to complete the 26.2-mile challenge.
Patchogue was the turnaround point. The last runner came through the village about noon.
