$29,000 TAKE 5 winner sold in Medford

A top prize-winning ticket from the Jan. 9 TAKE 5 drawing of the New York Lottery was sold at the Medford Mart on Route 112 in Medford, officials announced this week.

The winning ticket is worth $29,040.


A second top prize-winning ticket, also worth $29,040, was sold in Port Ewen in Ulster County.

The $29,040 top prizes were won by matching five out of five numbers, 239 players each purchased winning tickets worth $364.50 by matching four out of five numbers for the drawing. In total, there were 81,171 TAKE 5 winners for the January 9 drawing.

The winning numbers for the January 9 TAKE 5 drawing were 12-14-19-27-31.

The Lottery encourages everyone who bought a New York Lottery draw game ticket, to check their tickets again, as they could be holding a winner. Tickets expire one year after the game’s drawing.

The winners may claim the tickets at any one of the Lottery’s Customer Service Centers statewide, including the Long Island office at 45 South Service Road, Plainview, NY 11803 or at Resorts World Casino New York City, 110-00 Rockaway Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11420.
