It was a successful return of the highly popular Dragon Boat Race Festival in Port Jefferson.
Hundreds showed to the Asian-inspired event, which took place Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Mayor Jeanne Garant Harborfront Park and the Port Jefferson Harbor.
The annual outing, sponsored by the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, was canceled last year due to the global pandemic.
Dragon boat racing is rooted in ancient Chinese tradition, and is a show of patriotism.
