30 Photos: Scenes from Port Jeff’s Christmas Parade

|

Santa took to a horse-drawn carriage and led marchers down Main Street for the annual Christmas Parade in Port Jefferson on Saturday.

And the streets were packed.

The event, sponsored by the Greater Port Jeff Chamber of Commerce, began at 11:30 a.m. at the Port Jefferson train station.

From there, Santa, with many marchers, headed north up Main Street. He then turned left onto West Broadway and finished at The Drowned Meadow Cottage at Barnum Avenue and West Broadway.

The cottage, which opens as Santa’s Workshop each holiday season, will be open for Santa photos with children throughout December.

Saturday was also Port Jefferson’s Shopping Crawl. Scroll down to see photos from the day.
