Islip Town Beach: There was a jukebox on the second floor for dancing in this two-story pavilion on the town beach. Many locals have fond memories from the Islip beach; this was one of the great places to hang out during the summer.
The pavilion pictured is long gone and the beach wasn’t kept very well for years to come. Eventually, local residents got together to raise funds for the beach and has since been remodeled and is once again a nice place to relax in Islip, according to locals.
