Breakfast Crawl tickets have sold out online; limited number will be available Saturday morning

|

Patchogue’s spring Breakfast Crawl is this Saturday, May 20.

Tickets are sold out online, but a “limited” number will be available starting at 8 a.m. that morning at Patchogue-Medford Library, said David Kennedy of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

The crawl starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 20, and runs to 12 p.m.

(See the flyer below for the list of restaurants.)

Patchogue’s breakfast crawls are meant to mimic the bar crawls, except instead of hopping from bar to bar for wine, beer and spirits, these folks are in search of eggs, pancakes and sausages. Of course, they can also grab a beer, bloody Mary or mimosa. (Or whatever else.)

But unlike a bar crawl, the crowds don’t hope from place to place together; crawlers are free to blaze their owns paths for breakfast.

Seventeen Patchogue restaurants and specialty food shops are participating May 20. It costs $25 for five tickets (to eat at five places), $35 for 10 tickets, or $45 to eat at all 17 participating restaurants.

The library is located at 54-60 East Main Street.

Proceeds from the May 20 crawl, which runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., will go toward the Arts on Terry festival, which is run by the Patchogue Arts Council.

Arts on Terry is set for June 4 from noon to 6 p.m. on Terry Street.

Two crawls are planned for 2017, with one in the spring and another in the fall.

“Part of what makes the breakfast crawl fun is that it is for everyone,” said breakfast crawl brainchild and local artist Dave Rogers previously told GreaterPatchogue. “Breakfast is a time that we associate with family, and lots of families can join in.
