Update: Suffolk Police have cancelled a Silver Alert for a Medford man and he was found unharmed. Original post below.

Original Post: Suffolk Police are asking for the public’s help in located a 79-year-old Medford man who suffers from dementia.

John Riccobono has gone missing from his home on Wave Avenue in Medford.

He may be driving a 1998 white 4-door Hyundai with New York license plate AWL 6503. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, approximately 250 pounds, short gray hair, blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, sneakers and an SUNY Oneonta T-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652, 911.

Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
