The Smithtown High School boys cross-country team has won their 50th straight dual meet.
In a streak that dates back to the fall of 2016, the Bulls have strung together seven consecutive undefeated seasons. They are 4-0 this fall in first place in Suffolk County’s League I. They have posted decisive victories over William Floyd, Middle Country, Brentwood and Longwood.
Smithtown — comprised of student-athletes from Smithtown East and West high schools — defeated William Floyd 48-15 on Tuesday to reach 50 meet wins in a row. The Bulls will look to achieve their eighth consecutive undefeated season when they take on Half Hollow Hills on Oct. 15.
The team is participating in a multi-team invitational this weekend in Saratoga Springs.
