Rocky Point Petroleum sold a $50,000 third-prize Powerball ticket this week, New York Lottery officials announced.
The winning ticket — purchased for the Feb. 24 Powerball drawing — is among a wave of big lottery prize winning tickets sold on Long Island in recent days. Rocky Point Petroleum, a BP gas station and convience shop, is located at 779 Route 25A in Rocky Point.
The Feb. 28 Powerball drawing saw a $50,000 third prize ticket purchased at Main Street Mart in Center Moriches.
In the Feb. 24 TAKE 5 midday drawing, a prize-winning ticket worth $9,877 was sold in Amityville at Paris Enterprise, 3359 Great Neck Road.
