‘I Heart Mac & Cheese’ is coming to New Village at Patchogue

|

The Florida-based I Heart Mac & Cheese will be opening a New York location in Patchogue at 3 Village Green Way.

Here’s how it works at I Heart Mac & Cheese, expected to open in Patchogue later this year:

It’s not unlike Chipotle, where customers go down the line creating their own favorite dishes, according to company reps. Mac & cheese lovers will get a choice of pasta or pastas with specialty cheese sauce and other cheeses, veggies and proteins.

Nothing that we make is powdered or comes in a package,” says Brentwood native Frank Marino, who will be overseeing the Patchogue location along with colleague Diana Carbone. “And we have a whole list of protein options from pork to lobster to chicken.”

There’s also the grilled cheese option (pictured above), and cookies that are baked daily in-house.

The company is also working on salad options for those budgeting calories, Marino said.

Marino grew up with the company’s chef and founder, Michael Blum.

“The folks up here are going to absolutely love the product,” Marino tells us.

I Heart Mac & Cheese has nearly a dozen locations open or in the works in Florida, Oklahoma and New York, with contracts inked to open spots at universities across the country.

Other New York locations are in the works for Bayside and Syosset.

The company also makes it a policy to strive to hire military veterans and adults with disabilities, according to Marino.
