T.J. Maxx announces August opening date for new Medford location

|

The Massachusetts-based T.J.Maxx has announced its latest store will be opening right here in Medford on Aug. 12.

The new T.J. Maxx is located at the northeast corner of Route 112 and the Long Island Expressway, in what used to be a Staple’s at 2799 Route 112.

“Our newest store in Medford will offer an ever-changing selection of high-quality, on-trend and brand-name merchandise at the amazing prices T.J.Maxx is known for,” said Tim Miner, president of T.J.Maxx. “Our buyers create a unique mix that offers value for styles in every department, and we’re excited to bring this experience to a new neighborhood.”

To celebrate the Medford location, T.J.Maxx representatives will also be presenting a $10,000 donation to Patchogue-Medford Youth & Community Services at the 7:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, also on Aug. 12. Doors open to shoppers at 8 a.m.

The new store also plans to add about 60 full and part-time jobs. It will also join all other stores nationwide in sponsoring Save the Children’s U.S. Programs. T.J.Maxx also supports Save the Children, Autism Speaks, and Joslin Diabetes Center with annual in-store fundraising campaigns, according to the company.
