The Amvets are kicking off the weekend with a St. Baldrick’s Day head-shaving fundraising event Friday night for childhood cancer. Head over to Post 111 at 5 p.m. or later for a free haircut or to donate. Click here for details.

Saturday’s headliner is the Seventh Annual Patchogue Folk Festival at the newly renovated Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. This will mark the first big show since the $1 million+ renovation project wrapped up, and will be a nice opportunity for patrons to scope out the new-and-improved theater on East Main Street.
