A Lake Ronkonkoma woman is accused of stockpiling child sexual abuse material. A Hicksville grandmother lost nearly $1 million to callers claiming she’d committed a crime in India. And a Freeport man faces charges for allegedly exposing himself to a 5-year-old at Marshalls.

Here’s a roundup of some of the latest arrests and incidents across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Lake Ronkonkoma ‘digital creator’ charged with possessing child sex abuse material

A 21-year-old Lake Ronkonkoma woman faces felony charges after state police say she was found in possession of child sexual abuse material.

Following an investigation by the New York State Police Troop L Computer Crimes Unit, Taylor Culkin was arrested Thursday, police said.

Culkin, a Sachem North High School graduate who online describes herself as a digital creator, is charged with four counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, which is a felony. She is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 24 at Suffolk County First District Court in Islip, authorities said.

Teen e-biker hurt after slamming into parked GMC in East Meadow

A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized Wednesday evening after crashing his e-bike into a parked pickup truck in East Meadow, Nassau Police said.

The teen was riding westbound on Hempstead Turnpike about 5:10 p.m. when he struck a 2026 GMC stopped in the parking lot of 2174 Hempstead Turnpike, police said.

He suffered multiple lacerations and pain to his arms and knee and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The GMC’s driver stayed at the scene and was not hurt.

Kia plows into Baldwin CVS

A car crashed into a Baldwin CVS Wednesday, prompting building inspectors to condemn part of the structure, Nassau Police said.

Officers said the crash at 1829 Grand Avenue happened about 5:25 p.m. A 2027 Kia driven by 64-year-old woman with a 68-year-old male passenger struck the building’s outer wall, police said.

Both of the occupants suffered minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

The 70-year-old victim was told by phone she’d been implicated in a crime in India and needed to withdraw funds to resolve it, authorities said. Between June 29 and July 27, she withdrew and wired a total of $919,200.

On Tuesday, the callers pressed her for another $300,000 in gold bars and coins. That’s when she realized she’d been scammed and called police.

Police said Fnu Tierigeli, 32, of Woodside, Queens, was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree attempted grand larceny. She pleaded not guilty during her arraignment at Nassau First District Court in Hempstead.

The girl and her mother were shopping at the store at 256 E. Sunrise Highway on July 29 about 8:30 p.m. when the child spotted an unknown man exposing himself, authorities said. She told her mother, who called police.

Rory Anderson, 32, was arrested and charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday in Nassau First District Court.

Riverhead man charged with promoting child sex abuse material

Suffolk Police arrested a Riverhead man Friday on charges of possessing and promoting child sexual abuse material, following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Digital Forensic Unit detectives executed a search warrant at a Duryea Street address and arrested 33-year-old Josue Duran, police said. Cops seized multiple cell phones during the search.

Duran was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child. He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
