Signs of summer are approaching quickly for South Shore beachgoers.
The operator of Smith Point’s new beach concession, Tiki Joe’s Beach Club, has announced that opening weekend will be Friday, May 17, to Sunday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m each day.
The following weekend—Memorial Day weekend—Tiki Joe’s will be open full time for the summer, and there will be plenty in store for Smith Point visitors.
“We are going to have music during the day and night,” said Maria DiLeo, of J&B Restaurant Partners, which owns Tiki Joe’s and its several locations across Long Island.
There will be live music throughout the summer as well.
This was the first full off-season for Tiki Joe’s ownership group, which tookover the old Beach Hut site last spring.
“We learned what the customers want,” DiLeo said. “We will be having the chef-created food specials and, of course, weekly drink specials.”
