He ranks fourth all-time in saves, is a World Series champion, and a six-time All-Star.

Meet the Long Island Ducks newest right-handed pitcher, Francisco Rodriguez — or what most fans know him by, K-Rod.

The 16-year Major Leaguer and former New York Met is looking to revitalize his career after signing with the Ducks this past week.

“Francisco has been one of professional baseball’s most prolific relief pitchers for nearly two decades,” said the Ducks president and general manager, Michael Pfaff. “He is eager to begin this new chapter of his career, and we look forward to providing him with a chance to keep playing the game in pursuit of a return to the Major Leagues.”

Rodriguez’s most recent MLB stint included 28 appearances for the Detriot Tigers last season, where he pitched to a 7.82 ERA with seven saves. This season he signed a minor league deal with the Philadelphia Phillies before being cut in March.

During the height of his career, K-Rod threw a major-league record 62 saves in 2008 for the Las Angeles Angels.

He also helped the Angels win the 2002 World Series during his rookie year.

As far as playing in New York, he played three seasons with the Mets from 2009-11, recording 83 saves.

In his career, he appeared in 948 games, notching 437 saves, 1,142 strikeouts, with a career 2.86 ERA.
