Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce representatives have confirmed that Thursday, Aug. 30, and Thursday, Sept. 20, will be the days for a new summer street festival series called “Babylon Block Party.”
Plans for the festivals, which will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both nights, were announced last week by the chamber.
“This is going to be an intimate, family fun event,” the chamber’s president, Jacqueline DiDonato, had told GreaterBabylon.
At each fest here will be live music, outdoor dining, vendors, as well as bouncy houses and family movies for the kids. Deer Park Avenue will be shut down from Rail Avenue to Main Street, and Fire Island Avenue from Main Street to the Carriage House’s parking lot.

Each day has its own rain date.
The first Babylon Block Party has a scheduled rain date for Sept. 6. And the second festival day’s rain date is Sept. 27.
