A wet forecast for this Sunday prompted event organizers to move the popular Annual Fair at Argyle Park, Greater Long Island has learned.
The new date will be a week later, set for Sunday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
About the fair
The event, run by the Babylon Beautification Society, is one of the largest craft fairs on the island, drawing over 20,000 visitors each year to Argyle Park, which is located at Argyle Lake in Babylon.
The fair features over 300 craft vendors and a “Specialty Food Market” section with baked goods, cheeses, honey, jams, preserves, nuts, and bars.
In addition to the craft and specialty food vendors, there will be a variety of wine and beer and food trucks around the Babylon Village Gazebo.
There is also a children’s section at Bayman Park.
