All of the classic moments from the iconic holiday movie “A Christmas Story” are coming to life this holiday season at the CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale.
Performances of “A Christmas Story, The Musical” kicked off last weekend and will continue through Dec. 22. There are shows on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, as well as Sunday afternoons. Click here to shop for tickets and to view a complete schedule of all the showtimes.
Directed by Patrick Grossman, the playhouse’s artistic director, the musical’s is told through the eyes of a bespectacled boy named Ralphie and captures a simpler time in America — 1940s Indiana.

The play is produced by the film’s original Ralphie, Peter Billingsley. Young Max Lamberg, as Ralphie, is making his CM Performing Arts Center debut. He has performed previously in “Les Miserables,” “Aladdin Jr.,” and “Bye Bye Birdie” on other stages. He has played Olaf in “Frozen Jr.”
