A fast-growing fast-casual chain known for its salads and warm bowls is continuing its Long Island expansion.
Just Salad is preparing to open two new Suffolk County locations — one in Lake Grove and another in North Babylon — following the recent debut of its newest restaurant in Massapequa Park.
The Lake Grove location will open at 1995D Nesconset Highway, next to CityMD, while the North Babylon restaurant will be located in the Sunset Plaza shopping center at 1138 Deer Park Avenue, Unit 26.
Exact opening dates have not yet been announced, but the company says both locations are expected to open soon.
“Our community members will be the first to know and we’ll be open before you know it,” Just Salad Chief Marketing Officer Jen Lally said.
The additions will mark the brand’s 10th and 11th locations on Long Island. Along with the newly opened Massapequa Park restaurant, Just Salad currently operates Long Island locations in Commack, East Meadow, Hauppauge, Huntington Station, Oceanside, Plainview Centre, Port Washington and Westbury.
The New York-based company has grown to more than 100 locations nationwide, primarily in the New York metro area, New Jersey and Florida.
“As a New York-based brand, Long Island feels like our hometown turf,” said Lally, a Long Island native. “We see our guests as our literal neighbors. We also see first-hand how the Long Island community embraces and prioritizes their own health and wellness, and we’re honored to play a role in their lives.”
Just Salad’s menu focuses on chef-designed salads, wraps, warm bowls, market plates and smoothies.

The company is also a Certified B Corp, a designation recognizing businesses that meet certain environmental and social standards. The brand promotes sustainability through initiatives such as its reusable bowl program, which rewards customers with a free topping when they bring back their bowl, and its “Climatarian” menu category featuring lower-carbon-footprint meal choices.
“Health and sustainability are built into every meal,” Lally said.
The chain also recently launched a revamped rewards program offering what it calls a “mystery bowl” reward with purchases of $12 or more. The gamified rewards can include free warm bowls, smoothies, drinks or discounts.
“By removing points and introducing instant gamified rewards, we’ve turned loyalty into an experience guests actually look forward to rather than something they have to keep track of,” Lally said.
Just Salad is also partnering with the nonprofit God’s Love We Deliver for National Nutrition Month in March. The company will donate 10% of proceeds from its Miso Mission salad — made with braised chicken, basmati rice, edamame, pickled red cabbage, carrots, avocado and crunchy onions with miso ginger vinaigrette — to the organization, which provides medically tailored meals to people with serious illness.
Customers can also support the effort by rounding up their purchase at the register when visiting Just Salad locations.
