Here are some dates to keep in mind as you begin to plan for the Summer of 2016: July 7, July 21, Aug. 4, and Aug 18
Those are Alive After Five days in Patchogue Village.
(There’s also an Aug. 25 rain date.)
The immensely popular street festival, which is run by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, is coming off a banner year. One of last year’s July installments attracted an estimated 21,000 people to downtown Patchogue, shattering past highs of around 10,000.
“Alive After Five attracted the largest crowds to date during the 2015 summer music series,” said the chamber’s Alive After Five chairman, James Skidmore. “We added national touring acts, local artists and more entertainers to this year’s coming roster.
“We are still early in the planning stages, but expect to smile, let down your hair and celebrate the music.”
Alive After Five was just recognized in the Bethpage Best of Long Island contest as the best annual event.
