‘Anchorage’ wins top honors at Stony Brook Film Festival; here’s a list of all winners

|

Another Stony Brook Film Festival, Long Island’s largest film fest, is in the books. And the winners were recognized at a ceremony Saturday night.

This was the 26th installment of the festival, held at Staller Center for the Arts on the SBU campus.

Last year’s festival was virtual, and this year’s was a bit unusual, organizers say, with only American filmmakers in attendance for the Live Q&A sessions following their screenings.

“But it was a joyful and celebrated return to the theater,” reads a press announcement.

Below are the list of winners. Visit the film festival’s website to learn a bit about each short and feature film.

Of the winning films, filmmakers and cast and crew from Anchorage, Red River Road, and The 5th Man were in attendance to accept their awards during the July 31 awards ceremony.
