The Angels of Long Island is hosting a huge tent sale that runs from Thursday, May 27, through Saturday, May 29, outside the nonprofit’s popular thrift shop and outreach center in East Patchogue.

The Memorial Day weekend festivities then culminate with a family fun day on Sunday, May 30, at Hagerman park, where Paw Patrol characters will be dancing and posing for photos with kids.

These events don’t just raise funds for the charitable nonprofit organization, which for years has helped community members who are down on their luck.

This year, the tent sales on home goods, furniture, patio furnishings and more will help support frontline workers as well.

Angels volunteers will be offering free scrubs, lab coats and other personal protective equipment to the workers, a list that not only includes doctors and nurses, but home health aides, pharmacists and EMTs.

The workers will also be offered a free lunch (must show ID) with a drink on Thursday, when Patchogue’s Rudi’s Bar and Grill will be barbecuing.

Rudi’s will be grilling up food each day of the tent sale for purchase.

“There will be phenomenal deals going on all weekend, then our big Paw Patrol event on Sunday,” said Debbie Loesch, who co-founded the Angels of Long Island with her daughter, Brittany, in Bellport in 2015.

Vaccinations will also be available from Brookhaven Pharmacy, which shares the same plaza with the Angels at 350 East Main Street, from Thursday to Saturday during the tent sale.

“Anyone who gets the shot also gets a free, wireless iPhone charging pack,” Loesch said. “This is an all-Memorial Day weekend extravaganza.”

The times are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the tent sale days. It’s then noon to 3 p.m. for the family fun featuring Paw Patrol. The characters will be on hand between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. The fire district’s property and firehouse is located at 510 Oakdale Avenue in East Patchogue.
