Art Café planned for Terry Street in Patchogue

|

Developers are looking to turn the first floor of a house in Patchogue’s art district into an art café.

Simply Convenient and its owner have applied with the village’s planning board to open Art Cafe inside the quaint, nondescript home at 76 Terry St.

Upstairs and an area behind the proposed store on the first floor would remain a living space with a two-bedroom apartment, under the plan reviewed by the planning board at its last meeting.

Mayor Paul Pontieri said he expects the plan will eventually be approved by the village.

The house is located in Patchogue’s Arts & Culture District Zone. The applicant Robert Nazar plans to sell coffee, soda, juice and pastries, along with art supplies and photography in the 300-square-foot space.
