Babylon Village’s third annual Arbor Day celebration happens this Sunday.
The event will occur at Nathaniel Conklin House, between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
During that time, the Babylon Beautification Society will be planting a new tree. There will also be a reading of “The Lorax” and family fun craft activities, both sponsored by the Babylon Village Arts Council. Refreshments and special Arbor Day cookies will be served as well.
That celebration will be dedicated to the late Mayor Ralph A. Scordino, the beautification society told GreaterBabylon.
