Babylon Village closes down access to Southards Park

|

The Village of Babylon on Tuesday shut down access to Southards Pond Park until further notice.

According to Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino, this is a “health and safety precautionary measure” to promote social distancing.

“Barricades and signs have been posted and additional measures will be taken today to secure as best we can the property from public access,” said Scordino.

The village also closed Argyle Park last Friday.

“We all need to do our part,” the mayor wrote on Facebook. ” If you see someone in violation of this…please contact code enforcement at 631-894-2949 or call Suffolk County at 311.”
