What’s among Long Island’s largest and oldest outdoor craft fairs marks 50 years this Sunday, Sept. 8, in Babylon.
The Annual Fair at Argyle Park kicks off at 8 a.m. and runs to 5 p.m.
And the weather looks great, with the National Weather Service predicting a cloudless day with a high of 72 degrees in Babylon.
The massive craft fair, organized by the Babylon Beautification Society, encircles the entirety of Argyle Lake, consisting of over 300 artisan vendors.
It also spills over across Montauk Highway into the Village Gazebo area — where you could grab food and drinks, including beer and wine starting at 10 a.m.
Across the creek to the east, where you’ll find games and bounce houses for the kids at Bayman Park.
“Celebrating 50 years of the fair in our beloved village is a true milestone,” Babylon Village Mayor Mary Adams said in a statement. “We honor the extraordinary contributions and unwavering dedication of our community members and volunteers who make this event possible year after year.”
“From its humble beginnings, this fair has thrived due to the generosity of those who have invested their time, talent, and resources,” added Babylon Beautification Society president Frank Petruzzo. “With heartfelt gratitude, we recognize and celebrate the remarkable spirit of collaboration and volunteerism that makes our community and village truly special.”
