Suffolk County Police are hoping the public can provide information that help authorities find a Bay Shore man who has been missing nearly seven weeks.
Moises Alexander Castillo Mendez was last seen walking away from his Union Boulevard home on Jan. 6 about 9:45 a.m. Police said his mother reported him missing on Wednesday at 12:19 p.m.
Castillo Mendez is described as Hispanic; 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a light blue winter hat, a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and red sneakers.
Detectives from Suffolk Police’s Third Squad are urging anyone with knowledge of Castillo Mendez’s whereabouts to contact authorities immediately. Tips can be submitted by calling 911 or reaching the Third Squad directly at 631.854.8352.
