Snowfall amounts are in and Patchogue saw 24 inches

Update AM: Below are the National Weather Service snowfall amounts for Suffolk County.

Checking in at 26.8 inches in NYC’s Central Park, Saturday’s storm was the second-biggest snowstorm on record. The highest-ever inch count at Central Park was 26.9, recorded on February 11-12 in 2006.

The highest inch count recorded on the island Saturday was 30.5 inches at JFK Airport.

Patchogue saw 24 inches fall, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday PM: With Brookhaven Town, Patchogue Village and Bellport Village all declaring state of emergencies, only authorized vehicles are allowed on any local roadways Saturday into early Sunday.

Any cars parked in public parking areas after 7 p.m. Satuday in Patchogue Village will be ticked and/or towed.

Brookhaven Town residents are urged to call 451-TOWN to report snow related issues. 

All residents should call 911 for police, fire and ambulance emergencies only, official said. To report a power outage or downed wires, call PSEG at 800-490-0075 or go to www.psegliny.com to file a report online. 

Attention Pet Owners

Paumanok Veterinary Hospital will remain open through the duration of the storm for pet emergencies.

They are located at 639 Route 112 in Patchogue.
