Blue Point set to host inaugural Oyster Ball Oct. 5 in Patchogue

|

Slurp, sip, repeat.

That’ll be the scene on Saturday, Oct. 5, in Patchogue, at Blue Point Brewery’s first-ever Oyster Ball, where beer will be flowing and attendees will be treated to all-you-can-eat local oysters.

Tickets are $55 each, with 10 percent of proceeds going to charities dedicated to clean water initiatives, according to a Blue Point announcement.

“After moving into [the] new Brewery in downtown Patchogue, Blue Point is eager to use the space to support communities and causes they’re passionate about,” the announcement reads.

“Though there will be plenty of fun to be had at the event, there’s also a great opportunity to learn more about Oysters and their important role in keeping our ecosystem strong — courtesy of the Oyster Ball’s Shuck University, which will feature fun, educational talks from experts at our charitable partners.”

Also unique to the night will be three collaboration brews, one being a new Oyster Stout done with Patchogue’s own BrickHouse Brewery.

Other rare, barrel-aged brews will also be available to craft beer fans.
