Brookhaven Town closes all playgrounds, keeps parks open

To adhere to social distancing protocols during the COVID-19 outbreak, the Town of Brookhaven announced on Friday the closure of all local playgrounds until further notice.

While jungle gyms and other playground equipment will be off-limits, all parks will be open so residents can remain active during the health crisis.

If you do head outdoors, Gov. Andrew Cuomo reminds New Yorkers to keep at least six feet away from others to prevent the spread of the virus.

If you go outdoors to exercise — keep it to solitary activity.
