Brookhaven Town Hall

The Town of Brookhaven announced that it is postponing all large senior citizen events in response to concerns over the coronavirus.

Town senior citizen center activities were suspended as of today. Meals on Wheels deliveries will continue to the homebound senior citizen population, and seniors previously served by congregate nutrition programs at our senior centers will be offered meal delivery at their homes.

In a release, Brookhaven said it is committed to protecting the health of its residents, especially vulnerable populations.

Residents can call 631-451-TOWN (8696) or go to Brookhaven.gov for more information, including coronavirus safety tips and how to avoid exposure.

Follow the Town of Brookhaven on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @BrookhavenTown.

Residents can call Suffolk County’s 311 call center or go to SuffolkCountyNY.gov for more news and information or to sign up for countywide Code Red alerts.
