A lucky local has won more than $34,000 playing the New York Lottery’s “TAKE-5” game at VMR Cards & Gifts at 2799 Route 112 in Medford (the DMV shopping center), lottery officials announced.
The big winner matched five of five winning numbers in the May 21 drawing, good for a jackpot that totaled $34,023. The winning numbers — 18, 20, 27, 34 and 36 — were drawn from a field of one to 39.
In the same drawing, another grand-prize ticket was sold in Manhattan, also worth $34,023.
The five winning “TAKE-5” numbers are drawn during a televised drawing each night at 10:30 p.m.
