Center Moriches High School’s boys basketball team captured Suffolk County’s Conference IV championship this afternoon.
The Red Devils defeated Shoreham-Wading River at home, 76-61, and finished the abbreviated season with a 10-1 record.
Led by star senior forward Jaden Kealey, Center Moriches’ championship season was a sprint of success through February that included coach Nick Thomas’ 150th career victory.
Sunday afternoon’s win gave the storied program its 18th county title.
