Center Moriches High School graduate Sydney Passaro helped Keiser University win the women’s lacrosse NAIA national championship over the weekend.
Passaro played attack and starred for the Seahawks as a freshman this spring, scoring 19 goals and tallying 27 points.
She notched a goal and had one assist in Keiser’s 12-7 quarterfinal win over Siena Heights University on May 5 and played all 60 minutes of her Fort Lauderdale, Florida, school’s thrilling 13-11 championship victory over the University of the Cumberlands on May 8 in Savannah, Georgia.

In April, Passaro scored twice and picked up two ground balls in Keiser’s Mid-South Conference championship 12-6 victory over Cumberlands. She scored at least twice in five games, including a five-goal outburst in a win over Webber International on March 26.
Days after her team’s championship win, Passaro earned second-team All-Conference honors.
In high school, Passaro was a four-year varsity starter in lacrosse, soccer, basketball and track.
