A 19-year-old Center Moriches man died Tuesday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at a Moriches intersection, police said.
Charles Carrano was riding a 2006 Honda motorcycle east on Montauk Highway just after 12:30 p.m. when he struck a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck at the intersection of James Hawkins Road, according to Suffolk Police.
Carrano was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver of the pickup, Leonardo Munoz-Umanzor, 27, of East Moriches, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.
