Cheezly’s to open storefront at Centereach Mall

|

The owners of Cheezly’s, the suped-up food truck that serves mac and cheese and grilled cheeses, are now going brick-and-mortar.

But it’s not going too far away from its original Port Jeff Station location.

Longtime friends and Mount Sinai High School graduates Cody Kilroy and James Christiano told GreaterPortJeff they will be opening a storefront six miles away, at the Centereach Mall, in the former Firehouse Subs location.

“We needed more space, we were getting busier,” said Kilroy.

The two, who launched their food truck this summer, plan to open the Centereach store sometime this fall.

Cheezly’s will be keeping its same signature menu, which are its dishes served with a homemade cheese sauce.

“It was always our goal to go brick-and-mortar,” said Kilroy. “It’s exciting to see it all come to fruition.”

As for the 24-foot trailer goes, Cheezly’s plans to use the truck next summer for private events and festivals.
