Chick-fil-A expects to open Farmingville location this year

|

If you didn’t already know, Farmingville is getting a Chick-fil-A.

The popular chicken sandwich chain broke ground in November at the Expressway Plaza Shopping Center off County Road 83. The restaurant is being constructed in a previously unused portion of the shopping center, just adjacent to the recently remodeled Burger King.

When will it open? Greater Long Island reached out to Chick-fil-A for the answer.

“It’s our pleasure to share that a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Farmingville is slated to open this fall,” reads an email statement from the company. “We look forward to joining the community and serving all of our Guests with our delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”

A spokesperson for Chick-fil-A said they expect to create 80-120 jobs in the area.

According to plans submitted to Brookhaven Town, the restaurant will be approximately 4,776 square feet, with 70-80 indoor seats and about 28 outdoor seats. There will also be two drive-thrus, each with a 14-car queue.

Chick-fil-A has been making a strong push onto Long Island in the last few years, especially recently. Last year, the company announced plans for West Babylon, Riverhead, and Selden, while opening its latest spot on the island in Levittown this September. Chick-fil-A also opened in Huntington Station in December 2022.
